RTI Report Demonstrates Positive Economic Impact of Clean Energy

An RTI International report was released today by the NCSEA which illustrates the significant contribution clean energy and solar have had on the North Carolina economy, and the successful return on investment the state has received for their local and state policies.

Some of the key findings include

For every $1.00 in tax credits issued by the state between 2007 and 2013, $1.93 of revenue has been received by state and local governments.

Between 2007 and 2013 there has been approximately $2.7 billion invested in North Carolina renewable energy and energy efficiency.

There have been 36,885 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) jobs supported through this investment.

We are excited to see these positive results that clean energy is having on North Carolina’s economy.  For more information or the entire study please see the NCSEA website.
